Comments: I would like to say this game rocks!!!
I was reading the first book of harry potter, and in the book the team that gets the snitch or little gold ball as in your game, they get finishing points. And I was woundering will your game ever have this feature? If not could we send extra money to have it added on there vershion?
Ether way this game ROCKS!!!
Yep, that is in the full version. You can choose how many points the team that catches the gold ball gets.
Comments: Yeah, i'm sticking to programming. I'm hooked :)
Anywayz, do you think you could post the upgrade to broomsticks on the site so i can dl iit? or is that possible without giving out freebeez of the game? I hope you could...
Good to hear that Dustin!
Ok, I'll send that to you. Remind me if I forget! :-)

P.S. Have you ever thought about macking a DBZ game?
P.P.S. The full version is good to
Comments: Hey, thanks for loading my characters to the advanced demo! I'm still saving, even though I should've had enough cash by now, but I need my chocolate =) How much do you think the price is in AUS Dollars? Are you gonna make another game? Hope you do, cause it'll be great, considering that you are really good at this kind of stuff!!!
I'm glad to. Thanks for makihng them!
LOL! Your comment about chocolate made me laugh. :-)
Comments: Hey I played the demo and it was really fun!
Although I am 18, I am an avid reader of Harry Potter and Am taking my brothers to see the movie on the 16 of Nov. when it comes out here in the states. Anyway, I can't wait to see the look on my brothers faces when they see the game, they will be in heaven, keep up the good work.
P.S. I think I know what I am getting my brothers for Christmas!
Visit my site!
Thanks! I hope they like it!
Nice site BTW! Make sure you check out my homepage. I work with really high end graphics (million dollar VR systems), which is basically a preview of what consoles will be like in the not so distant future. :-)
Comments: I leeve the geeeme but i, heeeet that i do not have the fuuuull version, naace to talk to you, butt i stiiil neeeed to aaaask yuuuu a questiiioooon, seu, when did juu invent it and weer kan yuu baay it belgiuuuuuuum? thank yuuu
Thanks! I made the game about a year ago. You can buy it online or by mail
Comments: This is the best site. I had a sleepover at my cousins, and we played this game forever. You should make more games, because this one really rox! I play it everytime I come on here! Are you working on the Quidditch3D site? It is: http://www.quidditch3d.com. I hope you do, because you will make a good game out of it!
Thanks! I'm working on Broomsticks 3D. I don't know about the website you
mentioned. It doesn't seem to exist.

Comments: You know what? I like your game, but it needs something! That something is more of a sample. All you really need is to allow the screen to be bigger so you can put a lot of balls(I mean a lot)in the game wiht out my computer being messed up!
Maybe I will allow that in the advanced demo sometime. However, you can get
that and more with the Full Version! :-)
Comments: I'm back! I haven't written since July!! Geezum. Anyway I still love your game. Oh and to answer David Lister or whoever's question,
Harry Potter is what this whole game is based on! They are the best series of books ever! Written by JK Rowling! Ignoring those books is like ignoring the fact that you have feet!
Go to a librabry or something, but man get with it and read the books?
Who hee in this guest book agrees???
Marty, I'm glad you still love the game. Thanks!
I think that guy must have been joking... I hope! :-)
Comments: Hello, again! I've got a couple ideas. (1) Make a Broomsticks Hall of Fame. That way we'll all know who has been playing! (2) Every once in a while, sneak a referee (is that spelled right?)into the Advanced Demo. If you bump into him, he'll get mad and take away 10 points.(Good idea, huh?) (3) Make a little trophy image that we can paste onto our websites to show that we are fans of the game! (end of ideas) By the way, has anyone else noticed? The Harry Potter movie is coming out THIS FRIDAY! (Gives out long, loud, and very annoying scream.) Sorry, I just wanted to know if you noticed. 8^D
Comments: This is Xavier again. Thanks for signing my guestbook. But can you please create a links section on your website so a lot of Harry Potter fan pages can get known. Pleaz!!! Don't forget to add my site to that section.
Sorry Xavier, I'm trying to keep the Broomsticks website as simple as
possible and so I don't want a links page. However, feel free to tell people
about your website in this guestbook.
Comments: Hi Paul! Its me agian, though I doubt you remember me. In order to help pacify my horrible case of HPS- Harry Potter Syndrome- I have become addicted to this game. :) I just LOVE the new advanced Demo, and I plan on dropping a few hints to my mom about *cough* Christmas presents *cough* :)
Nice to hear from you again!
I'm glad you still like the game! Good luck with your hints. LOL! :-)
I was wondering if this game was really based on the Harry Potter books when you first started it, or was it just a 'Race around and put a red ball in a bubble-blower at the end of a field' kind of "Spark" you may have gotten when you were going for a quiet walk? Did you introduce the gold ball, and black balls after you read the Harry Potter books? Otherwise, the game is very unique in its own way, i like the 2D thing. If you could possibly send me some links to some other quidditch games at firstname.lastname@example.org I would greatly apreciate it.
(( P.S. : Please don't send me the harrypotter.com games, because I have played them out. ))
Good question! I made the game about a year ago because a friend told me
I should! :-) However, the gameplay (the way players fly) is
based on a game that I made a long time ago, before Harry Potter.
Actually, I'm not sure what other games are out there. I searched a while
back and found a couple but they didn't work too well.
Comments: Hi. Ok, so Broomsticks is around $20 AUS. Cool, I can save up a bit more =)
What's that Broomsticks 3D Game like so far? Does it have any menus or options (or even cheats)? Must be a great game. What's it like working at NCSA? Actually, where is NCSA?! I'm so full of questions today now that I got some really good chocolate =) Was making the Cave games hard? I better stop asking questions. See ya!
So far, you fly around and try to catch gold balls in a deserted castle. It's
fun but pretty simple. I'm hoping to add more to it soon.
Working at NCSA is amazing. It's in the middle of Illinois, an hour drive south
of Chicago. Making CAVE games is pretty hard because the interface is completely
different (and better!) than your regular mouse/keyboard setup. You can read about it on my website.
Comments: Hey Paul, your site really rocks. I love it 100%. I really extremely like that new feature every day thing, it is really cool. Since alot of people like this site online here, I would like to ask on behalf of all my 40 friends(who play this game at school) to put the full version online just for a bit of time. Oh well, if u dont, its still fine. G2G, c ya!
Thanks Ian! Nice try! :-)
Maybe you and your friends should pool your money together and get a 4 pack! :-)
Comments: I love this game! It's the best game ever! I'm a BIG Harry Potter fan, so anything that has to do with Harry Potter is for me. Your game is just like it is in the Harry Potter books. Well, I hope you keep up your good work. I can see that it's really paying off, with all the entries that you have in your guestbook!
Thanks! Actually, most people are too busy playing the game to sign the
guestbook. :-) Thanks for taking the time to sign!
Comments: When you finish broomsticks3D what about the people who have the unfinished version. Will they have to type out the serial number or something and then you'll send the completed game?
I hope to get the game soon! (\(^^)/)
(Actually I think my mums getting it for christmas!) Shhhhh!
yes, when it is finished I will make it available to those people.
LOL! I hope you do get the game. You will love it!
Comments: wow! This game is amazing. It is simple, but very addictive.Aslo cool how you can change what the player looks like.
I have a suggestion if anyone cares: maybe you could add quidditch TEAMS to the game. like baseball games where they tell you the teams ratings on a bar graph. Just a suggestion
E-mail me if you like it.
Thanks! I'm glad you like it. Simple and good is what I was trying to do.
Comments: There is a corrupt image on your first page. it is next to the Advanced Broomsticks Demo. i think it is called newyel.jpg. I looked up its properties. ;-)
Another funnier thing is that when I was playing teh Advanced Demo with zero red balls, the computer started to chase one of the Bludgers (Black Ball)!!! it is so hilarious. :-)
Hmmm... that image loads fine for me. I'll probably remove it, since the
Advanced demo is no longer a new item on the website.
LOL! I've never tried that. But what do you do without a red ball?! :-)
Comments: hi it's me again. I thought of something else.
Maybe you could do an option to allow shooting the red ball, or do you want to keep it simple (if you do i understand).
Or, you could allow passing of the red ball in 2v2 mode. that might make it more team-like.
Thanks for reading, Bye!
I'm not sure about shooting the red ball, but passing in 2v2 mode is a good idea!

Comments: Wow! I've only got two or three weeks of school left, and I can't wait till next year. I'm gonna put a lot of effort into my next lot of characters. That invisible one looks cool. Is it in the ABPL (Advanced Broomsticks Players List)? Could you tell me where to find the items list (hoop, ball, ect.)? I'd really like to have a go at creating a new hoop or Bludger! Later.
Yes, the invisible player set is in the Advanced Demo (playersPaul.gif). Here's the items image:
Comments: Hey Paul. I saved the items file, but I'm confused! Why are there three blank spaces? Are they there for Java-animation? Also, I can't find the great 'Invisibility' Players in the list. I don't mean to sound like I'm angry or complaining or anything like tht, but I only saw one of my player lists in there =( Could there be a bug in the Java Options Programming? My items list is almost finished, I just need to get to another computer that actually e-mails stuff =) See ya. (PS: My e-mail isn't at TPG anymore, it's email@example.com)
those spaces are not used right now. In the advanced demo, there should be 4
options for "Players image". The "Invisibility" players should be the last in
the list (playersPaul.gif).
I'm interested to see what you have done with the items.
Comments: NICE INVISIBLE CHARACTORS! I just tried them and for the first time in quite a while I lost to the computer! Yet another challenge for me to overcome! HOORAY! (How come I never thought of that?) Anyway, keep the creativity up. I have creativity too, but sometimes my imagination just dies... P.S. I'm still playing Broomsticks after all this time! It never gets old. P.P.S. I mean KEEP IT UP!!!
it's good to hear that you are still playing! If you are winning against the
computer at the highest skill level, then that means you are very good!
Maybe I need to make it even harder?
Comments: If you thought guys watching the football was bad, you should hear me playing this game...
"I got the ball. PFFFT! YES YES! WAHOOO! SCOOORE!"
"Haha, you suck."
"Go go go, what noooo!"
"Ner ner nee ner ner, you can't catch me. Ha, take that!"
"OMG I got the golden snitch! I got it. Yes! I rule I rule I rule!"
And so does this game. ;)
Thanks Deej! LOL! Sounds like you are having a lot of fun with the game! :-)
