Intellibadge

The Intellibadge project at SC 2002 was an experiment in tracking conference attendees using rfid badges. The data collected from the badges was displayed real-time on several large displays throughout the conference. In addition, various kiosk and web based services were available for obtaining information. The goal of the project was to "add value" to the conference experience using smart technology. The project was a success, with about 1000 attendees participating in the experiment.

I developed the real-time 2D visualizations that were shown on the large displays around the convention center. Here is a screenshot:
