A VisBox-SX8 was installed at the Aeronautical Systems Center Major Shared Resource Center (ASC MSRC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. The VisBox replaces an ImmersaDesk, providing higher resolution and a much larger and brighter display within a small footprint. It features projectors that output 1400×1050 (SXGA+) at over 5000 lumens each!
The system was installed as part of a major upgrade to the SciVis lab at ASC MSRC. Details of the upgrade can be found on page 6 of the “Wright Cycles” journal:
