Virginia Tech takes delivery of first 9 VisBlocks

Nine VisBlocks were installed at the Gigapixel Lab at Virginia Tech. The Gigapixel Lab, headed by Dr. Chris North, is conducting research about the human-computer interaction (HCI) issues for large-scale, high-resolution displays. The need for rapid reconfigurability of such displays for empirical research drove the development of the VisBlock product.

The current display of 9 VisBlocks has an aggregate resolution of over 8 million pixels. The Gigapixel Lab will be receiving an additional 9 VisBlocks soon for a total of 18 VisBlocks and more than 16 million pixels.
